Getting to a Houston Texans game, Rockets game, Astros game, or concert requires more than choosing a departure time. You also need a plan for getting home.
Houston stadium transportation can involve designated pickup areas, crowded exits, and temporary street closures. Each venue has its own rules. With Elite Town Car Services, you can arrange a professional chauffeur, select a suitable vehicle, and agree on your drop-off and pickup plan before your trip.
This guide covers four popular Houston venues, including where rideshare pickups take place, important event timing, and how to plan private car service.

Houston Stadium Transportation: Pickup Locations at a Glance
The following details come from official venue guidance.
| Venue | Published pickup guidance | Timing or access detail |
|---|---|---|
| Reliant Stadium, formerly NRG Stadium | Yellow Lot 35, Gate 16B, off Main Street | General parking lots open 4 hours before Texans kickoff |
| Toyota Center | Lyft pickup toward Austin Street, beyond Root Memorial Square Park | Nearby construction and street closures can affect access |
| Daikin Park | Rideshare on Crawford Street between Preston and Congress | Gates generally open 2 hours before first pitch |
| 713 Music Hall | Rideshare at Franklin Street and Bagby Street | Check the doors-open time for your concert |
These are the venues’ published rideshare or general passenger instructions. Private chauffeur pickups are arranged according to the event’s vehicle access rules. Elite discusses an agreed meeting location with you before your journey.
Car Service to Reliant Stadium for Houston Texans Games
Reliant Stadium is home to the Houston Texans. The stadium returned to its original Reliant name in August 2026 after being known as NRG Stadium. For current directions, parking information, and game-day access, visit the official Houston Texans stadium guide.
For Texans games, transportation planning should account for stadium opening times and traffic after the game.
Reliant Stadium Drop-Off and Pickup Location
The Houston Texans identify Yellow Lot 35, Gate 16B, off Main Street as the rideshare and taxi pickup and drop-off area. After the game, fans follow designated walking routes toward the rideshare area.
For private chauffeur service, tell Elite you’re attending a Texans game. We can discuss your vehicle and an appropriate meeting location based on current access rules.
What Time Should You Arrive?
According to the Houston Texans:
- General stadium parking lots open 4 hours before kickoff.
- Platinum parking opens 5 hours before kickoff.
- Stadium entry gates generally open 2 hours before kickoff.
These times help you decide whether you want to arrive early or closer to the game. After Texans games, stadium management aims to clear parking lots within 50 to 60 minutes. This is an operational target, not a guaranteed departure time.
Traffic conditions and the event schedule can affect how quickly vehicles leave the area. If you need a return ride, agree on the pickup arrangements before entering the stadium.

Car Service to Toyota Center for Rockets Games and Concerts
Toyota Center hosts Houston Rockets games, concerts, and other live events.
Address: 1510 Polk Street, Houston, TX 77002.
The arena’s Downtown location makes the surrounding streets an important part of transportation planning.
Toyota Center Pickup and Drop-Off
Toyota Center directs Lyft passengers west toward Austin Street, across Root Memorial Square Park, for pickup. That is the venue’s published Lyft arrangement, not a guaranteed pickup point for every private chauffeur vehicle.
Toyota Center also warns visitors about construction and road restrictions in the surrounding Downtown area. If you’re booking a chauffeur, provide your event date, arrival time, and return requirements. We will discuss an agreed pickup location based on the access available for your reservation.
Timing Your Rockets Game or Concert Transportation
For a Rockets game, check the scheduled start time and when arena doors open. For concerts, use the event-specific doors-open time rather than assuming every performance follows the same schedule.
If you plan to eat before the event, include the restaurant stop in your itinerary. A chauffeur-driven sedan can be considered for couples, executive guests, and private transportation to the arena.
Official information: Toyota Center Directions and Parking.
Car Service to Daikin Park for Houston Astros Games
Daikin Park, formerly Minute Maid Park, is home to the Houston Astros.
Address: 501 Crawford Street, Houston, TX 77002.
The ballpark publishes specific pickup instructions and postgame street restrictions.
Daikin Park Pickup and Drop-Off Zones
The Astros identify a rideshare location on Crawford Street between Preston Street and Congress Avenue, near the Center Field Gate.
The official ballpark guide also describes general passenger pickup arrangements. Before games, passenger drop-offs are permitted along streets adjacent to the ballpark, subject to traffic control.
Following games, Houston Police temporarily restrict certain streets.
Important Astros Game Timing
Daikin Park gates generally open 2 hours before first pitch, unless the event information states otherwise. After Astros games, Texas Avenue at Crawford Street closes for approximately 20 minutes to allow fans to exit.
Once police reopen the area, passenger pickup can resume along permitted sections of the south and west sides of the ballpark. The Astros also identify Jackson Street on the south side for immediate postgame passenger pickup, with specific driver-attendance requirements.
Because street access can change, discuss your return pickup plan before traveling. If you’re attending with a group, provide the passenger count so the reservation team can discuss an appropriate vehicle.
Car Service to 713 Music Hall for Concerts
713 Music Hall is located inside POST Houston.
Address: 401 Franklin Street, Suite 1600, Houston, TX 77201.
The venue hosts concerts and live performances in Downtown Houston.
713 Music Hall Pickup Location
According to the official venue visitor guide, rideshare pickup and drop-off takes place at the corner of Franklin Street and Bagby Street.
This location is useful when planning your arrival and departure.
For private chauffeur transportation, Elite can discuss the pickup arrangements for your event and vehicle.
When Should You Schedule Your Ride?
Check your concert’s scheduled doors-open time and performance details. Concerts do not always finish at the exact time customers expect. The final departure plan should account for the possibility of a later exit.
Tell the reservation team whether you need a direct return ride or transportation to another destination after the concert.
Official information: 713 Music Hall Visitor Guide.
When Should You Schedule Houston Stadium Car Service?
Your transportation schedule should begin with the event’s official opening and start times.
For example, Texans parking lots open four hours before kickoff, while Daikin Park generally opens its gates two hours before first pitch. These are venue opening times, not guaranteed driving times.
Planning Your Arrival
Start by deciding when you want to reach the venue. Consider whether you need time for ticket scanning, entry screening, meeting other guests, or visiting a nearby restaurant.
If your itinerary includes several stops, share them when requesting your reservation. Elite can discuss your requested drop-off time and transportation arrangements before the trip.
Planning Your Return Pickup
Getting collected after a major event can require more planning than arriving.
Before you leave for the venue, agree on:
- Your expected return pickup time.
- A meeting location that follows venue rules.
- How you will communicate with your chauffeur.
- What happens if the game or concert ends later than planned.
- Any applicable waiting-time charges.
Your chauffeur service does not automatically include priority lanes, restricted vehicle access, or special venue entrances. The agreed plan must follow the event’s actual traffic instructions.
One-Way Car Service vs Hourly Chauffeur Service
Should you reserve a direct transfer or book your chauffeur by the hour?
Both arrangements serve different needs.
| Transportation plan | When it makes sense |
|---|---|
| One-way car service | A direct journey to the stadium, arena, or concert |
| Separate outbound and return transfers | Transportation to the event and another pickup afterward |
| Hourly chauffeur service | Multiple destinations, scheduled stops, or an extended itinerary |
For example, you could arrange transportation from your hotel to a concert and a separate return pickup afterward.
If your evening includes dinner, the event, and another destination, an hourly reservation may be worth considering.
Service duration, waiting arrangements, and minimum booking requirements are quoted before you book.

Choosing a Vehicle for a Houston Game or Concert
Your group size and itinerary determine which vehicle is worth considering.
| Travel requirement | Vehicle option |
|---|---|
| Couple or executive guest | Mercedes-Benz S-Class |
| Special occasion arrival | Rolls-Royce Ghost |
| Small group needing an SUV | Cadillac Escalade ESV or Chevrolet Suburban |
| Group traveling together | Luxury Shuttle Sprinter, Executive Sprinter, or Executive Pilot Seat Sprinter |
Elite’s Sprinter configurations accommodate up to 14 passengers, depending on the selected vehicle.
For groups that need a different arrangement, Elite also offers coach transportation options. Vehicle selection depends on passenger requirements and venue access.
